The escalating global population exacerbates the challenges pertaining to food safety and security in developing nations. While diverse technological approaches have been developed to enhance agricultural productivity and ensure Agri-food safety and security, certain limitations hinder the effectiveness of these approaches. Nanobiotechnology emerges as a promising technology with immense potential to augment Agri-food safety by remediating polluted sites, controlling pests, increasing crop yield, improving nutrient and bioactive delivery systems as well as encapsulating texture and flavor.
