About this Research Topic
This research topic aims to unite experts in musculoskeletal biology, cell death regulation, and the pathogenesis of musculoskeletal diseases to delve into the role and mechanisms of regulated cell death in musculoskeletal development, homeostasis, and diseases. By fostering a comprehensive understanding of these intricate processes, the research seeks to enhance our knowledge of musculoskeletal health and disease pathogenesis. Ultimately, the goal is to identify novel therapeutic targets and strategies for treating musculoskeletal diseases, thereby improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
To gather further insights into the role and mechanisms of regulated cell death in musculoskeletal development, homeostasis, and diseases, we welcome articles addressing, but not limited to, the following themes:
- Regulated cell death in the development of bone, cartilage, and intervertebral discs.
- The role of regulated cell death in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.
- Mechanisms of regulated cell death in intervertebral disc degeneration and spinal cord injury.
- The impact of regulated cell death on bone tumors, scoliosis, and osteoporosis.
- Exploration of novel forms of regulated cell death in musculoskeletal health and diseases.
