It’s known that the human body can form a variety of proteins containing trace elements and biomass components containing trace elements. However, there are still knowledge gaps in the research of biomass components containing trace elements. Which ingredients are active ingredients? If the human body suffers from health problems due to the lack of certain active ingredients, then supplementing which nutrients containing this trace element can effectively alleviate or treat. Although elemental chemistry has been developed for decades and has made great contributions to the fields of medicine and materials, the research on human trace element chemistry is still very limited. For example, Among the inorganic and organic compounds containing trace elements, which ones are more easily absorbed by the body? Which compounds are less toxic? These problems all need to be solved urgently.

The Research Topic is based on the three human trace elements of selenium, iodine and boron, to obtain selenium agents, iodinating agents and boronated agents with novel structure, stable performance, high activity and wide application; by studying the scope of application of various reagents, It is easier to connect selenium, iodine, and boron groups of various structures to other complex molecular structures to synthesize a variety of new structural compound libraries containing selenium, iodine, and boron for subsequent research and development.
