About this Research Topic
For track specific submission details, please refer to the calls issued by the individual workshops (https://www.icwsm.org/2019/program/workshop/). Please also note that individual deadlines for the separate workshops will be communicated by your chairs.
Generally, submit by clicking the "Submit your manuscript" link at the top of the page. Authors can choose from a variety of article types, but in accordance with the guidelines provided by your respective conference track organizers. Most tracks accept full “original research” (12,000 words), “brief research report” (4,000 words), and “perspective” articles that outline key challenges and opportunities in the field (3,000 words).
When submitting, authors must:
1) Indicate as “preferred editor” one of the respective track workshop organizers. Featured workshops and corresponding organizers are:

- Critical Data Science - Momin Malik; Katja Mayer; Hemank Lamba; Claudia Müller-Birn
2) Specify which workshop they are considering to contribute to by indicating the name of the workshop in the box "Contribution field" during the submission process.
Please check if your institution has an agreement with Frontiers, or if your university, library, or grant offers support for Open Access fees. If neither applies, please complete the Waiver Application and contact the editorial office at
NB: At least one author of every paper published in the proceedings is required to attend the respective workshop.
