About this Research Topic
Nowadays, great progress has been made in the diagnosis and management of acquired heart diseases in children. New diagnostic techniques, diagnostic guidelines, and novel therapy spring up. Many biomarkers for the diagnosis, differential diagnosis, and prediction of the therapeutic effect and the prognosis have been reported. Multidisciplinary cross connection such as medical big data system and artificial intelligence provide a great help for the clinical diagnosis and management of acquired heart diseases in children. However, a lot of unresolved issues in the management of pediatric cardiovascular diseases remain unresolved and that is the urgent task of pediatric cardiologists. Therefore, in this Research Topic “Acquired Heart Disease in Children: Pathogenesis, Diagnosis and Management” we plan to collect clinical and basic studies related to the aforementioned diseases from worldwide. We welcome submissions including research articles, full-length reviews, mini-reviews and case reports. We hope to provide the pediatricians with a communication platform and facilitate the academic experience exchange in pediatric cardiology field.
