About this Research Topic
This Research Topic aims to provide comprehensive insight in latest investigations about biomechanics and actuation mechanisms, sensing systems, behavior patterns of humans and to present current level of developed technology for resembling those concepts in robotics. This will lead us to an answer of how far away are current humanoids from humans. Both research papers which present advances in human-like robotic systems and review articles which describe the current state of the art are welcome.
Potential topics include but are not limited to the following: human-like robot motion; human-like robot actuation; human-like robot sensing; human-like robot perception and cognition; human-like robot control; human-like robot manipulation and grasping; human-like robot behavior; human-like robot navigation; musculoskeletal robots; digitalization of human: modeling and simulation.
Keywords: Motor control, human-like perception and congition, musculoskeletal robots, digitalization of human
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
