Conditions like cardiovascular and neurological diseases, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes place significant strain on healthcare systems due to their chronic nature, long-term management needs, and profound impact on individuals' quality of life. Contributing factors such as aging populations, urbanization, and lifestyle changes, including poor diet and lack of physical activity, have led to the rising prevalence of NCDs. As a result, an urgent need is to develop effective, sustainable, and innovative rehabilitation approaches that can enhance patient outcomes, reduce the burden on healthcare systems, and improve long-term management. Fostering these advancements will be crucial for addressing the growing demands of NCD care and enhancing the well-being of affected populations.

Rehabilitation for NCDs has traditionally focused on mitigating symptoms, improving functional capacity, and enhancing patients' ability to live independently. However, novel approaches are emerging that offer a more holistic and integrated view of care, incorporating physical health, psychological well-being, social factors, and personalized interventions aligned with the principles of Precision Medicine.

Precision Medicine introduces a transformative perspective to rehabilitation, emphasizing tailored strategies considering individual variability in genetics, environment, and lifestyle. Technological advances, such as digital health tools, artificial intelligence, and telemedicine, are creating new avenues for rehabilitation by enabling remote monitoring, tailored exercise programs, and real-time feedback. These innovations allow for highly individualized care, improving adherence to treatment plans and optimizing outcomes.

Additionally, emerging therapies and techniques—including motor imagery, virtual reality-based rehabilitation, neurostimulation, and other precision-focused interventions—show significant promise in addressing NCDs' multifaceted physical and cognitive challenges.
