Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine welcomes submissions that support and advance the UN Sustainable Development Goal 3, SDG#3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. The UN Sustainable Development Goals aim to end the epidemics of AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, and other communicable diseases by 2030. Milestones include the achievement of universal health coverage, access to safe and affordable medicines and vaccines for all, increased investment in health systems, and strengthened resilience against future health threats, globally.

These critical global health goals are closely integrated with equitable healthcare provisions and the development and distribution of vaccines. Indeed, immunization is one of the world’s most successful and cost-effective health interventions. The assessment and incremental improvement of environmental and commercial determinants are also critical to safeguard vulnerable population groups and individuals residing in regions burdened by high disease prevalence.

For this article collection, we seek case reports, clinical studies, original research, and reviews that advance the current understanding of how SDG#3 interacts with Cardiovascular Medicine.
