Amid the backdrop of rapid global economic expansion and increasing population, the sustainable utilization of land resources has emerged as a critical issue of concern for governments and the academic community worldwide. Land Green Utilization Efficiency, an essential metric for assessing the quality of land resource usage, is pivotal not only for the sustainable development of economies and societies but also for the protection and enhancement of ecological environments. Land-use Policies, as significant governmental tools for regulating land resource utilization, have an undeniable impact on Land Green Use Efficiency. For instance, in recent years, China has implemented a range of Land-use Policies, such as the construction of high-standard farmland and the return of farmland to forests, profoundly affecting land market developments and altering land utilization methods, thereby contributing to improved land green utilization efficiency. However, there is still a lack of systematic research and understanding of how these beneficial Land-use Policies reshape land utilization patterns and systematically affect Land Green Utilization Efficiency.
This Research Topic is committed to establishing a theoretical and practical platform for systematically assessing both the direct and indirect impacts of land use policies on land green utilization efficiency, thereby advancing the study and practical application of Land Use Policy, Land Management, and Sustainable Development. It also aims to develop innovative solutions to the challenges posed by these policies by enhancing governmental and public awareness of their effects on Land Green Utilization Efficiency. Consequently, we invite contributions that apply novel theories/concepts, data analysis, and evaluation methods to land and environmental management from perspectives that include governmental, corporate, and individual decision-making, change management strategies, leadership, and communication practices. We welcome empirical and theoretical submissions, as well as reviews of literature and interdisciplinary studies.
Among the topics of interest are the following:
• Innovative methods for assessing the impact of land-use policies on land green utilization efficiency
• Analyzing the Impact of Land-use Policies on land-use practical resilience
• Exploring the social and ecological consequences of land green utilization efficiency
• Analyzing the impact of Urban Expansion and Rural Land Consolidation Policies on Land Green Utilization Efficiency
• Exploring the impacts of Urban-rural Land Policy synergy and interactions on Land Green Utilization Efficiency
• Evaluating the effects of land-use adaptation policies under the pressure of Climate Change and Urbanization
