This year's program is designed to unite an interdisciplinary community of global scientists, medical professionals, clinicians, Lowe Syndrome patients, their families, and relevant organizations. The symposium's primary goal is to establish a collaborative platform that advances research, increases awareness, and improves clinical outcomes related to Lowe Syndrome by specifically focusing on:
· The etiology and clinical manifestations of Lowe Syndrome, providing new insights into its underlying mechanisms and disease progression;
. Discussing cellular and molecular aspects of the disease;
· Potential therapeutic interventions and their translation from research to clinical applications, aiming to improve the quality of life for Lowe Syndrome patients;
· Engaging individuals from diverse backgrounds, underrepresented groups, and various specialties to enrich discussions and perspectives on Lowe Syndrome;
· Educational sessions tailored for Lowe Syndrome patients, families, and patient advocacy groups, designed to raise awareness and provide practical management strategies.
In line with the symposium goal, this Research Topic aims to collate the latest research and ideas on Lowe Syndrome by collecting different article types including Original Research, (Mini)-Reviews, Brief Research Reports, Opinion pieces, and Perspectives. A full list of accepted article types, including descriptions, can be found at this link.
