This shifting dietary landscape encompasses restrictions ranging from plant- and animal-based foods to salt and water intake, underlining the necessity of tailored dietary adjustments to reflect each patient's clinical status and prevent protein-energy malnutrition.
This Research Topic aims to explore the multifaceted role of dietary management in kidney diseases, including CKD, glomerulopathies, kidney stones, and tubulointerstitial diseases. It intends to evaluate how dietary strategies can be optimized to prevent complications like hyperphosphatemia and hyperkalemia, support overall nutritional health, and potentially modulate disease progression.
