This Research Topic welcomes contributions that focus on the latest advancements in aging research and interventions targeting the aging process. We look forward to publishing work presented during the 11th Aging Research and Drug Discovery Meeting (ARDD2024), held at the University of Copenhagen from August 26th to August 30th, 2024, but this collection is also open to novel and high-impact research from the wider scientific community.
According to the United Nations, the proportion of people aged over 65 now outnumber children younger than 5. The enormous growth in the elderly population is posing a socioeconomic challenge to societies worldwide and necessitates new sweeping interventions for age-associated diseases. ARDD2024 featured an incredibly exciting program with more than 100 global thought-leaders sharing their latest insights into aging and how we can target the aging process to ensure everyone lives a healthier and longer life.
We invite both conference speakers and participants, as well as researchers who were unable to attend ARDD2024, to submit their work to this Research Topic, hosted by Prof. Scheibye-Knudsen. Manuscripts will be handled by editorial board members of the Frontiers in Aging - Interventions in Aging section.
Manuscript Types: Manuscripts must be formatted to match one of the following article types: Original Research, Systematic Reviews, Methods, Review, Mini Review, Perspective, Data Report, Brief Research Report, Opinion. For more information, please see the description of accepted Article Types for the Frontiers in Aging journal.
Keywords:

Important Note:
All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
