Those with NPD often display grandiose tendencies, characterized by an inflated self-image and a necessity for external admiration. Furthermore, individuals with NPD commonly exhibit a notable lack of empathy, struggling to empathize with the emotions and experiences of others. These traits, combined with a potential resistance to treatment may pose significant challenges in psychiatric practice.

This Research Topic aims to investigate current novel interventions and treatment approaches for NPD, considering their efficacy, feasibility, and potential impact on improving patient outcomes. Spotlighting cutting-edge strategies and therapies, this Research Topic’s objectives are to contribute to the evolving landscape of NPD treatment modalities. Additionally, by cantering on pioneering strategies, this article collection procures to make a substantive contribution to the dynamic landscape of NPD treatment paradigms.

We aim to highlight the latest scientific findings on NPD in the following areas:
