About this Research Topic
2025 has been designated the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. Recognizing 100 years since Heisenberg, Born, Jordan and Schrödinger’s works on quantum mechanics.
Frontiers in Quantum Science and Technology invites contributions to this special Research Topic celebrating this anniversary. Contributors are encouraged to submit retrospective Review manuscripts highlighting particular quantum steps in the field. Forward looking Original Research and Review papers containing current research are also encouraged. Works that tackle interpretations of quantum mechanics are welcome, as well as experimental and theoretical work addressing questions that were raised in the early years of Quantum Mechanics, such as double-slit experiments with large molecules, and the origin of decoherence.
A limited number of pedagogical works explaining new developments in two-, three-, and multi-slit experiments, focused on answering the question “Were Feynman’s teachings exhaustive?”, may be submitted as Opinion or Commentary article types.
The top submissions, as selected after review by the editors, will have the Article Processing Charges waived.
