Furthermore, it aims to investigate the bioavailability of polyphenols and betalains, elucidating how these compounds bring about changes that impact obesity and metabolic syndrome.
Many studies have proven the high prevalence of metabolic diseases in the world, such as obesity and metabolic syndrome. Foods rich in polyphenols and betalains can reduce the risk factors and improve the prognosis of metabolic diseases. Therefore, this topic can contribute to using foods to prevent and treat obesity and metabolic syndrome by building a bridge between functional foods and disease treatment.
