The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) is hosting the sixth installment of the important conference "Small GTPases: Regulators of Membrane Traffic and Cytoskeleton in Cellular Function and Disease” from the 21st - 25th of July 2024 in Tucson, AZ. The 2024 year’s program will focus on how membrane structure and function are regulated, not just within molecular components, but regarding how they function.
The conference will bring together scientists from institutions worldwide, promoting integrative approaches to research and discussion on the latest findings in the fields of membrane trafficking and cytoskeleton dynamics, specifically on:
· The function and regulation of small monomeric GTPases during normal cell function and disease;
· The coordination between cytoskeleton dynamics and membrane traffic during different cellular functions;
· The importance of small monomeric GTPases in regulating cell polarization;
· The new tools being used to study the function and regulation of membrane traffic and cytoskeleton dynamics.
This Research Topic aims to collate the latest research and ideas arising from the meeting, celebrating the scientific contributions of conference speakers and attendees.
We welcome different article types including Mini-Reviews, Brief Research Reports, and Perspectives. A full list of accepted article types, including descriptions, can be found at this link.
Keywords:
GTPases, membrane traffic, cytoskeleton, cell polarization
Important Note:
All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
