About this Research Topic
This Research Topic will focus on the advancements in pathogenesis, therapeutic methods, and state-of-the-art technology concerning atherosclerosis and heart diseases. We invite all manuscripts related to Heart Failure, Coronary Artery Disease, Cardiomyopathy, Arrhythmia, and Atherosclerosis for submission. Contributions can be in the form of Original Research or Review articles, with a special welcome extended to submissions from fields such as molecular biology, cell biology, pharmacology, proteomics, and metabolomics. With this unique Research Topic, we hope to enhance the understanding of atherosclerosis and heart disease pathogenesis and promote exploration of innovative therapeutic methods.
We are interested in, but not limited to:
• Roles of endothelial cells, macrophages, and smooth muscle cells in atherosclerosis.
• Function of macrophages in heart performance.
• Targeted therapies and immunotherapy techniques for atherosclerosis and heart diseases.
• Applications of genomics and high-throughput sequencing technologies in understanding atherosclerosis and heart diseases
Keywords: Atherosclerosis; heart function; targeted therapy; genomics technology
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
