About this Research Topic
Significant progress has been made in the study of glycolipid metabolism disorders in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, due to rapid advancements in the fields of multi-omics, gene editing, single-cell analysis, and single-molecule science and technology. This development involves a shift from molecular-level investigations to network interaction integration, as well as static to dynamic and environmental interaction analyses. Concurrently, there is a deepening integration of basic research with healthy lifestyle guidance, new drug research and development, and clinical disease diagnosis and treatment. The objectives of this research project encompass the pathological and pathophysiological effects of glycolipid metabolism disorders in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, as well as the potential roles of novel therapeutic agents and therapies.
This Research Topic aims to focus on the most recent advancements in the field, calls for submissions of Original Research, Reviews, Case studies, and Methods, as listed but not limited to the following:
• The influence of glycolipid metabolism disorders on vascular pathology
• The impact of pathophysiological mechanisms related to glycolipid metabolism on cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases
• The effects of carbohydrate-lipid metabolism-related products, including lipids, sugars, and other silver, on cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases
• Therapeutics targeting glycolipid metabolism disorders in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases
Keywords: Cerebrovascular diseases, Cardiovascular diseases, Glycolipid metabolism, Pathological mechanism
