Recent studies have explored novel strategies for breaking down complex biomass structures, optimizing fermentation processes, and identifying pathways for the synthesis of valuable compounds such as biofuels, biochemicals, and other bioproducts. Despite these advancements, there remains a pressing need for more sustainable, cost-effective, and energy-efficient bioprocessing methods to fully harness the potential of lignocellulosic biomass.

This research topic aims to understand and analyze the current trends in integrated bioprocessing techniques involved in different stages, from biomass pretreatment and hydrolysis to the production of high-value bio-based products. The goal is to investigate innovative pretreatment techniques, optimize enzymatic hydrolysis, and employ metabolic engineering approaches to enhance the overall efficiency of the bioprocessing chain. By addressing these challenges, the research seeks to contribute insights into sustainable and economically viable approaches for harnessing lignocellulosic biomass, thereby promoting a more environmentally friendly and resource-efficient future.
