About this Research Topic
Ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) stands out as a novel, sustainable, high-performance cementitious composite material with superior mechanical properties surpassing traditional concrete. Given its superior mechanical properties and excellent durability, UHPC has received increasing attention in recent years, and both theoretical researches and engineering applications are constantly advancing. Researchers are dedicated to investigating the mechanical performance of UHPC and the structural behavior of novel UHPC structures.
Within this frame, the objective of this Research Topic is to shed light on the advancements, applications, and construction techniques associated with High-Performance Fiber-Reinforced Concrete (HPFRC) and HPFRC structures. We warmly welcome contributions dealing with:
1. Mix design of UHPC;
2. Innovative concepts to improve the mechanical properties of UHPC;
3. Strength theories and constitutive relationships of UHPC;
4. Bond behavior of UHPC;
5. Thermal properties and fire behavior of UHPC;
6. Structural design and analysis of UHPC structures;
7. Engineering applications of UHPC;
8. Rehabilitation of the corroded RC structures using UHPC, etc.
