Rheology, a branch of physics, concerns itself with the deformation of both solids and fluids when subjected to various forces. Fluids can be classified into two categories, i.e., Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids. These fluids exhibit distinct responses to forces such as system pressure, velocity, and surface friction, which are critical in numerous industrial and scientific applications. The study of these fluid types is crucial for optimizing processes in thermal and chemical industries, food processing, crystal growth, hydrology, polymer engineering, geophysics, and heat exchangers. However, when these fluids are examined at the nanoscale, the complexity increases, necessitating further research to fully understand their thermal behavior and flow control. Recent studies have made strides in this area, yet gaps remain, particularly in the application of nanofluid rheology to real-world scenarios. Addressing these gaps is essential for advancing the field and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of various industrial processes.

This Research Topic aims to gather the latest developments in nanofluid rheology, focusing on the theory of heat transfer and fluid transportation across various domains, including natural resources, biomedical applications, and industrial processes. The objective is to provide a platform for researchers to present innovative and unpublished research that will significantly advance the discipline. Key questions include understanding the unique behaviors of nanofluids and hybrid nanofluids, exploring their applications in different industries, and testing hypotheses related to their thermal and flow properties.
