About this Research Topic
This Research Topic mainly focuses on analyzing the molecular regulatory mechanisms of quality and resistance in root and tuber crops, which can be explored from physiological, molecular, or multi omics perspectives. The aim is to cultivate new varieties of root and tuber crops with high quality and resistance.
We welcome submissions of various article types, including Original Research, Review, Mini Review, Brief Research Report, Perspective, etc., focusing on the following subjects:
• Regulation of growth and development, tuberization process, nutrient absorption, metabolism, biotic or abiotic stress responses, and other physiological process of root and tuber crops
• Dissection of molecular mechanisms underlying yield or quality traits in root and tuber crops via genetics, omics, or informatics strategies
• Yield or quality improvement and molecular breeding of root and tuber crops using genetic and genomic tools
Keywords: quality, resistance, biotic and abiotic stresses, molecular mechanism, root and tuber crops, genetic improvement
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
