About this Research Topic
We welcome manuscripts that aim to tackle the challenges facing pancreatic, lung and gastric cancer immunotherapy, this includes but is not limited to, the following sub-topics:
1. LUNG CANCER:
1.1. Identification of novel immunotherapeutic targets for lung cancer
1.2. Improvements of multimodality therapy for lung cancer
1.3. Identification of biomarkers for predicting immunotherapy response and prognosis
1.4. Impacts of the tumour microenvironment on immunotherapy of lung cancer
2. PANCREATIC CANCER:
2.1. Immune subtype of pancreatic cancer
2.2. Immunotherapeutic molecular biomarker in pancreatic cancer
2.3. Novel immune checkpoint in pancreatic cancer
2.4. Tumoral and peripheral immunological characteristics in pancreatic cancer
2.5. Multiomic analyses in pancreatic cancer
3. GASTRIC CANCER:
3.1. Clinical trials, novel target identification, and combination therapies Immune of checkpoints inhibitors in gastric cancer
3.2. Adoptive cell therapies, cancer vaccines, and innovative immunomodulatory agents to fight against gastric cancer cells
3.3. Individualized immunotherapeutic approaches and biomarker-driven strategies
This Research Topic accepts Original Research, Reviews, Mini-Reviews and Case Reports, and aims to address and offer new insights focussing on immunotherapy-specific approaches to pancreatic, lung and stomach cancer treatment. Manuscripts lacking an immunological focus will be out of scope for this Research Topic.
We also take this opportunity to thank the wider community for their continued efforts in allowing for accelerated scientific developments within the pancreatic, lung and stomach cancer immunotherapy fields, and most importantly, for working with us on our mission to make science open.
Manuscripts consisting solely of bioinformatics or computational analysis of public genomic or transcriptomic databases which are not accompanied by robust and relevant validation (clinical cohort or biological validation in vitro or in vivo) are out of scope for this topic.
Keywords: Pancreatic cancer, lung cancer, stomach cancer, gastric cancer, immunity, immunotherapy
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
