About this Research Topic
Aiming to increase the understanding of tobacco diseases and effectively control them, we need to study the occurrence patterns of major tobacco diseases and the types of potential diseases, and based on which, employing molecular biology, omics, immunology and other methods to undertake the isolation and identification of pathogenic microorganisms, genetic diversity evaluation, pathogenic mechanisms, interaction between phytopahtogens, plants, and environment, as well as disease control products and technologies.
This Research Topic welcomes Original Research articles, Reviews and Mini-Reviews, Opinions, Perspectives, Hypotheses and Theories, Methods, Technology and Code to provide new findings about the diseases caused by phytopathogenic microorganisms on tobacco and their prevention and control around the world. Sub-topics include but are not limited to the following aspects:
- Isolation and identification of biocontrol microorganisms for tobacco diseases.
- Mechanism of plant disease resistance.
- Mechanisms of pathogenesis.
- Interaction between phytopathogenic microbial, tobacco, and environment.
- Collection, evaluation, and disease resistance mechanisms of biocontrol microbial resources.
- Biological control products and their application technologies.
Keywords: Tobacco, Phytopathogen, Interaction Mechanism, Biocontrol, Tobacco Disease
