About this Research Topic
Obesity and Diabetes are both major both major public health problem, both growing issues as age advances. The problems inherent in growth disorders and precocious puberty are also having important therapeutic breakthroughs. This research topic aims to investigate the relationship betwee these endocrinological major issues and adolescence, a particularly transitional age group.
Our background has been closely related to research and clinical practice in the field of pediatric endocrinology and diabetes, due to the extensive experience gained from years of working in the tertiary center for this specialty.
Our aim is to disseminate new basic and clinical knowledge useful for both specialists and pediatricians and we would especially like to give space to new original cases and modern approaches in clinical and therapeutic endocrinological challenges in adolescence.
