About this Research Topic
Interest in and organization around veterinary clinical research conduct is increasing and has the potential to play a significant role in improving translation and patient outcomes in a more sustainable manner. Currently, however, there is not a specific place to publish work on veterinary clinical research conduct. This research topic is meant to encourage and support researchers performing work in this area, which has relevance across the spectrum of veterinary and translational science.
This research topic focuses on articles discussing best practices and emerging topics in veterinary and translational clinical research involving natural animal models including research assessing current veterinary clinical research and reporting practices, reviews of available literature, new topics such as incorporating adaptive design, real world data, new technology such as artificial intelligence, multi-site and collaborative study support, regulatory issues, equity and diversity in clinical trials, methods of assessing research impact, sustainable research practices, among others.
