This research topic is linked to the 2023 edition of the IHMTC conference taking place in Patna, India from December 14-17th. Participants of this 27th National and 5th International ISHMT-ASTFE Heat and Mass Transfer Conference with results in thermal management and energy conversion, with particular advancements relevant to energy efficiency, are welcome to submit full papers to this Frontiers in Energy Efficiency research topic ‘Thermal Engineering Impacts in Energy Efficiency’.
The conference scope covers the role of heat and mass transfer in engineering and industrial applications, with topics such as green buildings, thermal management, air conditioning, and power plants. The goal of the conference is to bring together researchers from all over the world to present advances in the fields of transport phenomena and to foster an environment conducive to exchanging ideas and information, and developing new collaborations. Further information can be found on the dedicated website: IHMTC 2023
This Research Topic aims at gathering contributions from conference participants, particularly focusing on submissions discussing thermal management and energy conversion that focus on improving energy efficiency. This can be energy efficiency considered in homes, buildings, industrial processes, or other scenarios. Theoretical, computational, applied and policy related research are all welcomed.
Given the expected diversity of topics and approaches, all manuscript types accepted by Frontiers in Energy Efficiency are welcomed; Original Research, Review, Perspective, etc. Original Research articles, however, are particularly sought after.
Frontiers in Energy Efficiency is a specialised open-access journal with unique specialty sections highlighting impactful research across technology, applications, theory, and more. As a gold open-access journal, article processing charges (APC) will be applicable for accepted manuscripts in this research topic collection. You can find further information and support options here. For this special collection, a 20% discount on the APC will be applied for the first 20 submissions to the collection (if the article is accepted after peer review).
Prospective authors are requested to note that the manuscript for this collection should be an improved version of the paper presented at the conference, following Frontiers policy guidelines.
Keywords:
energy efficiency, energy management, thermal management, thermal engineering, green buildings, air conditioning, power plants, industry
Important Note:
All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
