About this Research Topic
The goal of this research topic is to identify the involvement of lncRNAs in the epigenome reorganization in the onset of cancer. To do this, it would be appropriate to study the epigenetic alterations (degree of DNA methylation, open chromatin regions) associated with various oncological pathologies, both solid and blood cancers, and to understand whether a specific lncRNA may be associated or related to them. Furthermore, it will be necessary to identify any regulators of this process to evaluate any therapies aimed at reducing or re-activating the SUMOylation process according to the identified target.
This Research Topic welcomes Original Research articles and Reviews focusing on the following subjects:
• Identification of new actors in epigenome regulation processes in cancer.
• Evaluation of lncRNAs involvement on epigenome haematological cancer and/or solid cancers.
• Correlation/association on lncRNAs and epigenetic alterations.
• Identification of new lncRNAs able to modified the epigenome in cancer for therapeutic purposes.
• Characterization of specific cancer epigenetic profiles for diagnostics purposes.
