About this Research Topic
To comprehensively summarize the significant role of electromagnetic methods in recent mineral resource exploration, we are organizing a special issue focused on the latest advancements in data processing techniques, new electromagnetic exploration methods, and their applications. By reviewing the achievements and shortcomings of existing research, propose more development directions of EM methods. Continue to promote technological innovation in electromagnetic exploration methods to further meet the urgent needs of deep geological exploration, urban underground space exploration, geological disaster detection and monitoring, and other aspects.
This Research Topic will focus on the latest developments in geophysical electromagnetic methods, technique and equipment, especially those involving new methods and applications on critical mineral deposits. We encourage researchers from both academia and industry to submit their work to this Research Topic to exchange ideas and develop visions. We invite the submission of both innovative research and review articles. Potential topics include but are not limited to:
• New electromagnetic exploration methods
• Data processing using traditional methods
• Data inversion using artificial intelligence machine learning and deep learning
• Applications in critical mineral deposits
• Applications in deep geological exploration
• Applications in urban underground space exploration
• Applications in geological disaster detection and monitoring
Keywords: Electromagnetic methods, Case study, Semi-airborne EM, Data processing, Key metal deposits, Inversion
