About this Research Topic
The goal of this topic is to bring together scientific advances that have been made in the delivery of phytochemicals to solve animal husbandry problems through the use of nanotechnology. Productivity, growth promoters, antibiotics, disinfection of facilities, microbial resistance, food additives, animal welfare, food quality, waste disposal are among the main challenges faced in animal husbandry today. The practices of conventional production systems failed to deal with such challenges. Therefore, innovative solutions are required from us, preferably combined with the sustainability of the systems. Nanotechnology based on phytochemicals could bring revolutionary solutions to animal husbandry, ensuring food and environmental safety.
We welcome the submission of Original Research, Review, Mini Review, and Perspective articles on nanotechnology phytochemical-based in animal husbandry, including nanoemulsions, nanoencapsulation, nanogels or polymeric nanoparticles. Areas to be covered in this Research Topic may include, but are not limited to:
• Disease treatment
• Microbial resistance
• Feeding efficiency and nutrition
• Animal product quality
• Reproduction
• Animal management
