About this Research Topic
This research topic aims to focus on the recent advances in the multiscale design of fiber reinforced concrete. This encompasses a spectrum of aspects, including low-carbon cement production, fiber-matrix design, cement chemistry, physical design (like particle packing), mesoscale, and large-scale testing of fiber-reinforced concrete, such as steel fiber reinforced concrete.
We welcome high-quality original research papers and state-of-the-art reviews dealing with, but not limited to, the following topics:
· High-performance steel fiber reinforced concrete
· Multiscale modeling of fiber-reinforced concrete
· Fiber-matrix design (e.g., self-prestressing)
· Cement chemistry in fiber-reinforced concrete
· Fiber bond behavior in fiber-reinforced concrete
· Particle packing in fiber-reinforced concrete
· Ultra-high performance concrete
· Functional fiber-reinforced concrete
· 3D printable fiber-reinforced concrete
· Prefabrication / modular construction using fiber-reinforced concrete
· Self-healing fiber-reinforced concrete
· Waste valorization in fiber-reinforced concrete
· Structural design of fiber-reinforced concrete
· Strengthening and retrofitting using fiber-reinforced concrete
