About this Research Topic
The emphasis on elucidating the holistic effect of underlying molecular, cellular, and immunological factors that contribute to neuroinflammation is the need of the hour. Our objective is to critically evaluate the methodologies employed to examining the strengths and limitations of techniques used to quantify and characterize neuroinflammatory responses. By addressing methodological nuances, this platform aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the reliability and reproducibility of neuroinflammation research, offering insights into areas that require further refinement. The outcome of this knowledge resource will be instrumental in delineating the broader impact of neuroinflammation on neurological diseases and fostering a more nuanced understanding of disease progression and treatment strategies. This Research Topic attempts to summarize the data from cutting-edge techniques for biomarker detection, including advanced imaging modalities (such as High resolution Mass Spectrometry, PET scans, MRI, and fMRI) and molecular analyses (such as proteomics, Lipidomics and metabolomics) with cellular bioenergetics, and thus aims to ease the feasibility for identification of promising biomarkers that exhibit high sensitivity and specificity in detecting neurological disorders at early stages, enabling timely interventions and improved patient outcomes.
This platform aspires to contribute to the growing body of knowledge in the field of neurological biomarkers, offering insights that could revolutionize how neurological disorders are diagnosed, monitored, and treated. The collation of findings could have profound implications for patient care, paving the way for more personalized and effective therapeutic interventions in the realm of neurology.
