About this Research Topic
By bringing together cutting-edge research, theoretical perspectives, and evidence-based practices, we aim to explore the role of group and partnered dance in promoting mental well-being and physical health, as well as supporting individuals facing mental and physical health challenges.
We invite researchers, scholars, and practitioners to contribute their original work and insights in areas linking movement science, group and partnership dance dynamics, and mental and physical health. This article collection seeks to encompass a broad scope of work , including but not limited to the following topics:
• Psychological benefits of group and partnered dance;
• physical benefits of group and partnered dance;
• group and partnered dance as a therapeutic tool;
• the mental and physical interplay in group or partnered dance;
• cognitive and physiological mechanisms of group and partnered dance;
• group and partnered dance in virtual settings;
• impact of stress and pressure on dance performance.
