About this Research Topic
The adoption of nanotechnology-based solutions to mitigate climate change, the use of nanoparticles to enable drug delivery, and the application of nanomaterials for sustainable agriculture are examples of the numerous recent areas of advancement in the Nanotechnology field in Latin America. The growing activity of the Latin American Nanotechnology research community over the last two decades, and the development of networks with the aim of promoting research in this field, reflects the commitment of this region towards sustainability and scientific advancement. It also emphasizes the need to focus strategic research and development efforts towards areas of Nanotechnology that are relevant to the development of Latin American countries, so that this region can build on scientific findings to promote sustainable development and economic growth.
This Research Topic aims to highlights the latest advancements in Nanotechnology research in the Latin American region. As such, at least one of the corresponding authors must be affiliated to an institution based in Latin America. The aim of this collection is to highlight how Nanotechnology-based applications contribute towards sustainability, innovation, and socio-economical growth in the region. Original Research, Review, Mini Review, and Perspective articles are all welcome.
