About this Research Topic
This Research Topic aims to explore the advancements in nanomedicine for transforming oral health by focusing on the development and application of nanotechnologies for diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. The main objectives include evaluating the in vivo and clinical efficacy of emerging nanotechnologies, assessing their biocompatibility, and determining their cost-effectiveness. Specific questions to be addressed include how these technologies can be optimized for use in the complex oral environment and what modifications are necessary to enhance traditional dental materials using nanotechnologies.
To gather further insights in the application of nanotechnologies in oral health, we welcome articles addressing, but not limited to, the following themes:
- Development of new nanomaterials and nanotechnologies with potential applications in oral health.
- In vitro, in vivo, and clinical evaluations of nanotechnology-based approaches.
- Modification and enhancement of traditional dental materials using nanotechnologies.
- Review articles on existing and emerging nanomaterials and nanotechnologies in oral health.
