Advances in Cardiac Anesthesiology and Cardiopulmonary Bypass for Cardiac Surgery and Interventions

In light of the many advances in cardiac surgery anesthesia over the last few decades, we are pleased to introduce together this Research Topic in "Frontiers in Medicine - Intensive Care Medicine and Anesthesiology section". Indeed, ongoing investigations into all aspects of anesthetic management in cardiac surgery and related interventions are the key to improving knowledge, safety, and quality of care. Additionally, since cardiopulmonary bypass is also a major consideration in the optimal management of diverse groups of patients, we'd like to include this topic in this collection.

The goal of this collection is to gather all innovative studies, reviews, and analyses in the area of anesthesia and perfusion for cardiac surgery.
