About this Research Topic
This Research Topic aims to explore the latest advancements in the utilization of AI technology in AKI research, focusing on early diagnosis, disease progression, subtypes, treatment strategies, and prognosis. Additionally, we also welcome investigations into the ethical and moral aspects of AI application in AKI research. By fostering discussions and knowledge exchange in these areas, we aim to advance the integration of AI in AKI research, ultimately improving patient care and outcomes.
We invite submissions of Original Research and Review articles that address AI technologies in AKI research. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• AI-guided management of AKI
• AI-based prediction of AKI incidence, including early diagnosis and identification of AKI subtypes
• AI-based prognostic models for AKI, including mortality prediction and assessment of renal function recovery
• AI-assisted medical decision-making for AKI patients, such as the application of continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and monitoring of anticoagulation
• Ethical and moral considerations of AI technology in AKI research
