About this Research Topic
While efforts have been put in to improve nutrition and diet such as through public health campaigns and policies, inadequate dietary intake remains the most challenging problem. The difficulty in adopting a nutritious and healthy diet lies in the vast differences in personal preference, needs and adherence. This suggests that efficacious weight loss solutions need to be personalized and flexible enough to improve health behavior changes alongside dynamic changes in our everyday lives. The use of technology is a promising strategy to develop scalable interventions to improve nutrition and weight management.
This topic will focus on the role of novel technology and the effectiveness of various technology to improve nutrition and weight management.
Papers of interest include, but are not limited to:
1. The role of novel technology for personalized nutrition and/or weight management.
2. The effectiveness of technology (e.g. apps, artificial intelligence, and robots) to improve nutrition and/or weight management.
3. The relationship between personalized nutrition, weight management, and cardiometabolic diseases.
4. The impact of certain nutritional compounds (different types of macro- and micronutrient) on various weight-related phenotypes.
