About this Research Topic
This Research Topic aims to showcase evidence on how the COVID-19 pandemic affected and continues to affect those living with eating disorders and those who developed an eating disorder during that time. It hopes to provide insights into research and interventions on how this can be tackled going forward in the hope that the research presented will translate to best practice applications in clinical and public health settings.
We invite researchers to submit a range of articles including but not limited to original research articles, reviews, meta-analyses, opinions, perspectives, and case reports to provide new evidence on the following:
- The physical impacts of COVID-19 on those living with an eating disorder
- Long COVID in people living with an eating disorder
- The mental impacts of lockdowns on people living with an eating disorder
- The impacts that the COVID-19 pandemic had on care provided for people living with an eating disorder
- What we have learnt about COVID-19 and eating disorders since the beginning of the pandemic
