The higher the frequency of the attacks, the greater the impact on the quality of life and on the performance of normal daily activities with repercussions on the emotional, cognitive and medical aspects.
Migraine is a neurological disease that recognizes genetic bases with activation of inflammatory, vascular and electrical mechanisms sharing pathogenetic mechanisms with endocrinological, psychiatric, gastrointestinal diseases, pain syndromes and other neurological conditions such as cerebrovascular dysfunctions, epilepsy and sleep disorders.
Migraine has a very strong impact on quality of life with loss of school days and activities in children and adolescents. The treatment of comorbidities that may share pathogenic mechanisms with migraine can lead to an improvement of both migraine and the associated pathology, with improvement in quality of life, financial costs and social isolation.
The purpose of the collection is to identify the comorbidities of migraine in neurotypical and neurodiverse patients , underlining how these may share pathogenetic and therapeutic mechanisms.
All types of comorbidities will be considered.
Priority will be given to original texts and subsequently any reviews will be taken into consideration.
