About this Research Topic
Precision medicine approaches have been particularly successful in the field of oncology, where targeted therapies have been tested and developed for specific mutations or molecules that promote tumor growth.
This Research Topic is centered around the use of therapeutic agents which specifically target molecules involved in disease progression, the novel therapeutic approaches which are focused on specific molecular pathways that are responsible for disease development, resistance to therapy, and the use of cutting-edge techniques that may put well-known therapies and novel therapies under the same spotlight of precision medicine.
We aim to create a collection of research papers that lead to a better understanding of how oncological and hematological diseases develop and to improve disease management.
We are interested in original research papers, reviews, and also short communications, focused on targeted therapies used in the fields of hematology and, oncology, using state-of-the-art methods to evaluate the response to therapies. We would be grateful to receive both in vitro/in vivo studies, and clinical studies focused on drug repositioning, novel immunotherapies in cancer management, or studies that bring new perspectives to oncological patient management.
