About this Research Topic
Infrastructure maintenance and monitoring is a key part of this endeavor which is essential for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. To ensure efficient and reliable infrastructure, Big Data technologies, machine learning techniques, data science techniques, and innovative IOT technologies shall all be used to monitor and maintain infrastructure in sustainable cities. Additionally, smart data collection and commercialization, cloud computing and network infrastructures, and cyber security and networks should all be taken into consideration to create and maintain sustainable cities that are safe and reliable. By leveraging these technologies and services, we can ensure that the potential of infrastructures is maximized and sustainable cities are created and maintained.
We invite submissions presenting original and multidisciplinary research on topics that explore a wide range of topics related to the area described above. We welcome research papers and reviews addressing, but not limited to, the following areas:
- big data technologies for distributed measurement and data collection
- machine learning techniques for infrastructure maintenance prediction
- data science techniques for transportation safety
- novel applications of big data for sustainable cities
- Innovative IOT Technologies and Services for infrastructure monitoring in sustainable cities
- smart data collection and commercialization in sustainable cities
- Cloud computing and network infrastructures to support sustainable cities
- cyber security and networks for monitoring infrastructures
