About this Research Topic
Since the start of basic and advanced life support seminars, medicine has evolved throughout the centuries and especially in the recent years, providing not only new insights regarding pathophysiology of medical emergencies but also new treatment strategies. All medical specialties and departments, from surgical to medical and from pathology to radiology have advanced in parallel with the development of technology and basic research to present exceptional achievements.
The goal of this Research Topic is to present the latest advances that are made during the last years in the field of emergency medicine that falls into the spectrum of both basic and clinical science. This special collection will not only present topics related to cardiopulmonary resuscitation but also emergencies that exist in all medical specialties.
