About this Research Topic
The goal is to provide a collection of articles that review the cutting edge of a variety of topics that link the biochemistry of lipid metabolism and signaling with the cell biology of disease . Diseases to be featured will include cancer, viral pathogenesis, lipid signaling in obligate intracellular parasites, and neurodegenerative diseases.
Interest is in a concise and up to date discussion of the structural biology and biochemistry that underlies the cell biology of lipid metabolism/signaling as these relate to human disease and to infectious disease.
Keywords: lipids; signal transduction; disease; protein structure; phosphoinositides; cancer; viruses; parasitology
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
