About this Research Topic
Numerous fundamental mechanisms driving neurological disorders are still obscure or understudied. In order to create the next generation of medicines to treat neurological disorder, genetics and proteomics (the study of proteins created by genes) can help us better understand the predisposition to diseases. Opportunities to better define neurological syndromes, comprehend the course of neurological diseases, and improve clinical therapies are provided by advances in genetics and new technology. Another issue arises as genetic knowledge and applications for treating neurological illnesses grow: teaching clinical neurologists to employ genetic analysis and genomics.
