About this Research Topic
This special issue aims to provide up-to-date information through original and review articles about the protective effects of natural products against intestinal damage caused by various factors (especially pathogenic microorganism infections). To investigate the mechanisms related to the alleviation of intestinal damage by natural products and their bioactive substances. To verify the pharmacological activity of natural products through in vivo and in vitro studies to provide more therapeutic strategies for the treatment of intestinal-related diseases.
Potential topics include, but may not be limited to:
• Molecular mechanisms of natural products protection against intestinal damage
• Enteropathogenic microorganisms infections and nanophytotherapy;
• Correlation of gut microbiota and natural products.
• Pharmacological effects studies of natural products.
• Application of multi-omics data to analyze the protective effect of natural products on the intestinal.
• Investigate the molecular mechanisms of intestinal-pathogenic microorganism interaction by the integration of in vitro and/or in vivo models.
Keywords: intestinal health, natural products, pathogenic microorganism infection, intestinal microecology
