About this Research Topic
Much more knowledge is needed about the causes of SCAD, the course of the disease, as well as the therapeutic approach and thus the prognosis.
Led by an international team of subject experts, this Research Topic will investigate the causes of SCAD and possible treatments. The topic editors encourage the submission of all manuscript types covering basic, translational and clinical research. Sub-themes include but are not limited to:
1. How to raise awareness of SCAD as a cause of acute coronary syndrome?
2. Prognostic significance of angiographic division of SCAD in acute coronary syndrome?
3. Interventional approach to the treatment of acute coronary syndrome caused by SCAD.
4. Use of balloons in structural interventions for SCAD
5. Drug therapy of acute coronary syndrome caused by SCAD
6. Prognostic factors on left ventricular function after SCAD
Keywords: spontaneous coronary artery dissection, acute coronary syndrome
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
