About this Research Topic
Eosinophilic Esophagitis is largely driven by an aberrant allergic immune response to specific foods. However, there is yet much to understand about this chronic, inflammatory disease. As part of this section’s mission to report the newest scientific developments in the field of food hypersensitivities, including EoE, Frontiers in Allergy are delighted to be launching this new Research Topic.
Led by an expert team, this Research Topic calls for papers covering, but not limited to, the following themes:
• Phenotypes and diverse endotypes of EoE
• Pathogenesis of EoE
• Biomarkers of Esophageal Eosinophilia and clinical outcomes
• Clinical aspects, including treatment in the one year after diagnosis and long term follow up
• The relationship between EoE and IgE mediated food allergies.
All manuscript types accepted by Frontiers in Allergy are welcome.
