About this Research Topic
This research topic will review the current understanding and latest advances in antibody-mediated rejection across all solid organ transplants. These will span the spectrum from a better understanding of the immunology and pathogenesis, to improved diagnostics, treatments, ongoing gaps in knowledge, and future research.
Topics covered within this collection include immunology and pathogenesis, HLA antibodies, non-HLA antibodies, pre-transplant allosensitization, pathology, diagnostics, treatment, outcomes, and future research. Manuscripts may include original scientific manuscripts and review articles. Ideally, manuscripts would discuss themes relevant to all solid organ transplants but may focus on a specific organ where recent advances have been made. This may serve as a roadmap for other organs to follow in future research.
Keywords: Solid organ transplant, Allograft rejection, Allograft failure, Human leukocyte antigens, Antibodies
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
