About this Research Topic
Reviews and Advances in the Molecular Mechanisms of Breast Cancer will publish high-quality scholarly review papers that address the mechanistic basics of breast cancer development, progression and interaction with the microenvironment.
Reviews and Advances in the Molecular Mechanisms of Breast Cancer aim to highlight recent advances in the field, whilst emphasizing important directions and new possibilities for future inquiries. We encourage submissions from early-career researchers and emerging independent investigators.
Sub-Topics of this collection include, but are not limited to:
• Mechanistic basis of breast cancer tumor cell migration and invasion.
• Mechanisms by which microenvironmental signals modulate breast cancer progression.
• Identification of novel strategies to inhibit breast cancer metastasis by targeting microenvironmental cues.
• Biological function and regulation of ECM microenvironment during breast cancer progression.
• Development of therapeutics that can stop tumor growth and metastasis.
Please note: studies consisting solely of bioinformatic investigation of publicly available genomic/transcriptomic/proteomic data do not fall within the scope of the section unless they are expanded and provide significant biological or mechanistic insight into the process being studied and will not be accepted as part of this Research Topic.
The collection welcomes full-length or mini review papers as well as perspective, opinion, and hypothesis and theory articles. New articles will be added to this collection as they are published.
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
